Y’all. Life is hard and I know you don’t need me to tell you that. We all have a backstory and sometimes it’s not all rainbows. I know mine isn’t. If I’m honest with you, it has only been in the last few years that I’ve healed from the pain of my past and the brokenness of my childhood.
Sometimes it’s hard to realize the truth when we are hurting and/or living in the past. Maybe for you, it’s the present. I hope you know that it’s okay to be at this point in your life. It’s okay to hurt and it’s okay to be angry but one thing I want you to remember: He is there with you in every dark moment. Life wasn’t meant to be easy but I wouldn’t trade my experiences for anything because it has made me who I am. All the experiences (good and bad) have brought me to this very moment in my relationship with Jesus that has taken on a whole new meaning. Whatever the reason is for, I welcome it because His purpose is greater and the peace He gives is intoxicatingly beautiful.
God’s Word even tells us in John 16:33
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
He has overcome the world and that includes each of our good, bad and ugly moments. The battle has already been won. Your battle already has an ending and through Him, you will be victorious.
There is power in His name and there is sweet redemption. Just call on Him, grab His hand and don’t let go. Sometimes He is just waiting for us to acknowledge that we do need Him and Him alone. We go through trials and God uses these experiences to refine us and get us ready for our next chapter. We just can’t stay stuck in a chapter that needs to be closed. Sometimes we stay too long and it may feel impossible to find your way but it’s never too late! We try to hard at life and we need to just be and let God do what we can’t. If you are reading this, my prayer for you is that God will make Himself as real as the clouds and birds in the sky and that it can not be denied.
Xoxo,
Hannah B.
