Pondering
Have you ever found yourself looking back and wondering how you ended up where you are?
During the driest season you’ve experienced, feeling as though every fiber of your being is as dried up as the roots of a flower that is parched? You find yourself in despair and drowning in a sea of guilt, shame, hopelessness, and feeling unloved no matter what you have done to fill the void in your soul.
God is wanting you so desperately to turn to him so that he may give you the water, food, and nutrients your spirit is screaming for. Isn’t it time to meet him in his sanctuary and allow him to plant you in his garden? His steadfast love is better than life itself and it will sustain you.
Praise his name and lift your hands as you surrender to Jesus. It’s time to stop running.
John 4:13-14 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
Psalm 63 1:4 O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So, I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So, I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.
Praying
Heavenly Father, I come to you in complete surrender asking you to forgive my transgressions, search and know me, and reveal to me the areas in my life that have been filled with anything you do not desire for me. You spoke the words in John 4:14 that if I drink from the water you give me, I will never be thirsty again. I am asking you to make this verse real in my life as I have allowed every part of my inner being to wither away and turn into a parched, dry, and crippling to the touch vessel. Refresh and renew me, O, LORD. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen
Practicing
Take time to go to Jesus’ sanctuary everyday for nourishment. The world is too harsh on our spirits to bare the walk alone. What nutrients does your spirit need today?
