God has been cultivating my life to bring me to this point of revelation:
Life is a journey of embracing the seasons of life & learning to have faith through life’s unknown moments. Even though we feel like we walk life blindly and we feel we are a little speck in this universe, this is not the truth. For we aren’t meant to live by sight and if you are, you are missing an amazing opportunity to give God a chance to show you who he is and how much he loves you. To show you that you are a twinkle in God’s eyes in a great big world. We are creatures that like tangible and visible objects and people so it’s hard for us to fathom who God is if we are living by sight in the flesh. It is when we pay attention to our spiritual eyes that we begin to see the truth and we are awakened to all things the way God intended.
2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Isn’t it ironic that to be spiritually awake is to be blinded to the flesh and trust God with your life? Yet, if you are spiritually asleep, you are blinded to the spirit but awake to the flesh that you can see in the physical realm.
Do you want to trust God’s eyes or your human eyes?
I’ve trusted my fleshly eyes and have made choices ignoring my spirit eyes. I know the hard, long road of consequences that I endured because I was stubborn and decided that I knew best instead of seeking God on the choices I was making and waiting for his answer. I eventually learned that God’s way it’s always best, it’s the path of least regrets. It will be painful. There will be resistance from the adversary. You will have to bare your soul, removing every trace of fleshly desires from your inner being, but the completed canvas will be more beautiful than you can imagine.
You will rise from ashes, blooming with faith that starts as small as a mustard seed and daily choose faith over fear while trusting our unknown moments to The One True God who knows.
The Faith Over Fear Devotion has been cultivated by my life experiences. I’ve lived and walked them. I’ve struggled in life, I’ve felt every human emotion possible, and I’ve lived to tell the story of God’s grace, mercy, and love. Ultimately, every story has the chance at a redemptive ending, if you just choose him!
1 Peter 1 6-9 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
With all my love,
Hannah B.
