Pondering
Once you have made a heartfelt commitment to God and have allowed Him to plow your heart of the sin in your life, it’s time to allow Him to plant seeds in your heart. You must care for the seeds He has planted inside so they continue to grow inside of you. With growth comes change and change is not an easy process. It hurts, it’s painful, it will make you feel vulnerable, and sometimes even ugly. It will make you feel like you want to quit but with change comes growth. You will discover who your identity in Christ is, you will begin to see the positive changes of the fruit you are bearing. You will experience things of the world being removed from your life to make room for the blessings God is about to place on you. You will see life through Christ’s eyes and newfound joy will overcome you along with surpassing peace that simply can’t be described. Each day you must put the armor of God on (read about that here: Ephesians 6:10-18), pray without ceasing, and read and meditate on God’s word so that you can experience Him to the fullest. When you take in all things of God, there isn’t room for anything of the world. Once you taste His goodness, you will continue to desire more.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
Luke 8:14-15 The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Praying
Heavenly Father,
I come to you seeking your strength to continue on your path of righteousness and gentle reminders if I start staying from the narrow path. You rescused me from my sins and the pit I was in. Continue working in me and change me from the inside out to produce Godly fruit for your glory. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
Practicing
Begin the day reading and meditating on God’s word, placing Him first in your life, this will help you keep your mind focused on God throughout the day. Your efforts will be honored.
How can you rearrange your morning to start your day putting God first?
Learn the Armor of God so that when attacks come, you are prepared and not taken by surprise when they do come.
Even in the bad moments, PRAISE Him for what He has done and is doing! Usually, when we have these, there is good around the corner!
Don’t give up, the process is beautiful.
Xoxo,
Hannah B.
