Standing at a crossroads feeling your heart pound with anxiety and your body sweating with panic. On your way to succumbing to fear as you mind takes control and tries to make a rational decision out of your raging emotions.
Starting to question if you are making the wrong decision and preparing all of your plans for the absolute worst case scenarios. Second, guessing your better judgment when you think you have made the decision and going against what you know is right.
It would be easier to flee from the fire, choose a path of ease, and the path of the least fiery arrows than choosing the path that is unfamiliar and unknown? Exciting but yet you could be walking through fire and allowing God to refine every ounce of your being for His glory and for His purpose. Growing and changing you into the person you know you are called to be as your old self burns away like ashes into the air.
Ephesians 6:16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
1 Peter 1:7 so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Which way will you choose?
Jeremiah 6:16 Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.
Crying out to The One True God, the Savior of the world, “I am trying to choose the ancient and narrow path! I know you are the good way and the only way but it is painfully difficult to fight the forces against me.” Feeling as though I am suffocating and burning while I am wrestling against the darkness that surrounds me and keeps holding me down. Too weak to go on and desperate for rest.
Jeremiah 15:11 The LORD said, “Surely, I will deliver you for a good purpose; surely I will make your enemies plead with you in times of disaster and distress.”
This is the test. You must choose. Choose To Fight. There is a purpose.
In life you are given a series of revelations, moments of God making Himself undeniably real to you, answering prayers, refining you, growing you, and showing you who He is. You continue to move forward with trials and tribulations and eventually, you will be placed at a crossroads.
He wants to know that when the going gets tough, will you still choose Him and step into faith trusting only Him or will you fall into the trap the enemy has set?
With a decision placed before you to continue moving forward with God with an arrow pointing in the direction of His path that leads to the narrow path or you can choose to follow the stubbornness and evil in your heart that doesn’t have any direction. An endless and wayward point that continues into the darkness with no purpose and without God as your guide.
Matthew 7:13-14 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Great post! ❤️ It’s human nature to want to avoid pain and choose the easy way, but growth and more rewarding outcomes definitely come from going through the fires of refinement.
I have nominated you for the “Light of the World” award. See my post https://calledtobeawriter.wordpress.com/2018/05/31/light-of-the-world-award/ for the details. Don’t feel obligated, but you deserve it! 😊
