Jesus; Thy Name I Call

As I was seeking Him and praying for just an ounce of His refreshing goodness, I never intended for my most intimate prayer to Jesus would be on here for you but here it is.

No matter what you are facing, you are loved, you have a purpose, and I know a name that has the power to break the chains that are dragging you down. Though we walk through the wilderness, His light is always shining and waiting for you to turn it on.

Stay tuned, I have a story to tell but for now, enjoy the words that were once groans from my heart.

Oh, how I praise You, Jesus! Your sweet name tastes like honey on the tongue and it soothes the deep and dark crevices of my soul.

Your name sanctions me to withstand the darkness that surrounds me.

The darkness that is on the verge of enveloping me.

But Your love, Jesus, shines brighter than the darkness.

Your name is my saving grace.

Your name is the light by which I can see in the darkness.

Jesus.  The name my soul yearns for, I call on You.

Jesus.

Wherever You call me, I will go.

Through the wilderness, I will go.

I am safe.

Through the darkness, I will go.

Though I can not see,

I am led by Your lamp upon my feet.

Fighting through the shadows that cast over me, I will go.

I am fortified by Your sweet name.

You alone light the way.

Your word is the light by which I see.

Oh, how I praise You, Jesus. You have made a way through the darkness.

Jesus, you have already overcome the darkness.

Oh, how I praise You, Jesus.

Jesus, You are the light.

You are the way by which I see.

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

Psalm 119:105 – Your word is a lamp to my feet. And a light to my path.

Jeremiah 10:6  – No one is like you, LORD; you are great, and your name is mighty in power.

Proverbs 18:10 – The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.

John 14:13 – And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Philippians 2:9-11 – Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth.

Faith Over Fear: Season One // Day Three

Season One // Day Three

Pondering

Blindness is a condition that induces a state of fear and anxiety. You may find yourself going in blindly to decisions you have to make or even relationships. The spirit of fear will often overcome you and cause a rippling effect of anxiety that causes you to shut down. Have you ever noticed that when you are placed under the spotlight you can’t make a decision? You clam up and lose the words that are sitting on the tip of your tongue and you just can’t get them out.  You may make a decision based on what you know, what looks appealing to your flesh, or you may not even make one at all. You are focused on the what ifs of the future, worrying about things you cannot change because they are already painted on your canvas that is slowly coming to life. All you see is a mix of colors, some are blots, and some are running together. It may feel like blindness, but you can’t see what the Lord has painted for you. You aren’t meant to. Oh, but why? Because God desires for there to be a connection between you and him. He wants you to come to him and ask for guidance and seek his will. He wants to prepare you for the moments that make you clam up, run in fear, and shut down so that when the time comes, you will stand up brave and you will stand in awe of God’s glory and see how majestic he is and feel his love that radiates through every part of your inner being. Let go of your fears of your unknown days and trust the God who knows.

Isaiah 48:17 – This is what the Lord says- your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.”

John 8:12 – Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Ephesians 5:8 For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.

Praying

Heavenly Father, I come to you seeking your will for my life, remove the desires in my heart that do not line up to your will. Replace the spirit fear I feel when it comes to life with your peace that surpasses all understanding. I know that the beautiful canvas you are painting for me is far more beautiful than I can even begin to understand. Thank you for loving me that much to guide me to the finished masterpiece, away from darkness and in the light all of my days. Through my eyes my days are unknown, but I trust your will for my life as you know what is unknown to me.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.

Practicing

Prayerfully talk with God to reveal what circumstances in your life that you are going in blindly on.

  • How is Jesus asking you to respond and trust him with the outcome?
  • Will you trust him next time you have a decision to make?
  • Go in blindly with him and let him unravel your surprise.

I hope you enjoyed Day Three and are practicing Faith Over Fear!
