Back To The Heart Of Worship

An Advent to Remember:  Back To The Heart of Jesus

A new meaning of Worship has been bestowed upon me after learning to rest in Jesus for everyday life.  When you have practiced entering God’s rest and are seeing life through God’s perspective, you will be able to wholeheartedly worship our Heavenly Father the way He deserves.  Your heart, mind, and soul will be full of peace, gratitude, love, and your life will be full of praise that we will want to lay at the feet of Jesus to honor and bring Him glory.

When you have taken quality time to spend with Jesus, your desires, motives, and perspective begin to change.   Stepping into this new mindset will elevate you to another level of genuine worship that is not rushed or out of haste.  You will begin to experience intimacy with Jesus that will be fueled by a strong desire to learn from Him, talk to Him, walk with Him, and get closer to Him wholeheartedly.

The heart of worship begins with the acknowledgment of God’s love, sacrifice, and blessings.  By giving Him thanksgiving and praise in all things, your life will have a new meaning of living for the King.   In a world that is busy and constantly moving, especially during Christmas, take time to slow down this season. Begin practicing resting in Jesus and worshipping the Savior of the world.  You will begin to see the true meaning of Christmas that will leave a lasting impression on your mind, heart, and soul.

1 Chronicles 16:23-31 NIV
23 Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.
24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
25 For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.
26 For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.
27 Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his dwelling place.
28 Ascribe to the LORD, all you families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
29 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him.
Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.
30 Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.
31 Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, “The
LORD reigns!”

Personal Reflection

How is God speaking to you today?

How will you commit the time in building and cultivating your relationship with Jesus?

How can you apply today’s devotion to this Christmas season?

In what ways can you incorporate worship into your daily life?

Season Two // Day Three

Growing plants takes time and requires the right amount of light, air, water, and nutrients. If you do not have all of these, you will struggle through the growth process and eventually die without producing what you were made for, just like a plant. The most important step is to fill your heart and mind with scriptures and talk with God without ceasing. He is our everything and provides what you need when you need it. Even if an answer to your prayer isn’t answered right away, you can rejoice knowing that it’s coming when God says it will and how H will allow it to happen. Thank Him for what He will do for you! He promises to give you a fulfilled life  Until then, you must hand over your circumstances with an open and willing heart and He will give peace through the growth process. Regardless of the changes and challenges you are facing, God is there in your midst and providing peace and strength for you to endure and overcome.

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.

Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Praying

Heavenly Father,

I come to you with thanksgiving for the mercies and blessing you have bestowed on me. Even though I am not sure where this journey is going or what the future holds, I am rejoicing that You are LORD of LORDS, King of Kings, and you have what is best for me in Your heart and already mapped out. I ask for Your peace that transcends all understanding to surround me as I continue to grow. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Practicing

How is God using circumstances to grow you in this season of your life?

In what areas has God revealed to you that you need to hand over to Him so that you can experience the peace He provides?

How can you make changes to the way you react to situations you can not control?

Change your worry to praise and watch what grows inside!

Xoxo,
